Spring trekking on the Amalfi Coast

Cross the Bay of Naples by high-speed ferry from Naples to Sorrento, home base for the next couple of nights.

Hike Day 1 - take the ferry to Isle of Capri for excellent day hikes on old narrow stone pathways around the entire island. (One could easily spend min 1-2 nights on Capri going to all corners of the island by land and boat.)

Hike Day 2 - taxi (or bus) to Termini, and hike out to Punta Campanella. Then, traverse a steep hillside to Marina del Contone. (Lightning and weather kept us from the high traverse so we hiked back to Termini from the Punta and took the bus to Marina del Contone on the coast. Buy bus tickets at Tabach shop beforehand.)

Hike Day 3 - hike up to Nerano and Termini from Marina de Contone, or if the weather is good, rugged hike to Leranto Bay for swimming. Bring your goggles.

Hike Day 4 - taxi to Sant Agata; high traverse across the high coastal hills to Colli San Pietro from where you can see both sides of the peninsula and both bays: Naples and Salerno. Then, bus to Amalfi, home base for next two nights.

Hike Day 5 - bus from Amalfi to Agerola-San Lazarro, and hike back to Amalfi. Views and more views!

Hike Day 6 - bus from Amalfi to Agerola-Bomerano, and hike the Sentiero deglio Dei, aka Path of the Gods, to Nocelle, Avienzo, or all the way down to port of Positano on stone steps. We hiked the path to Nacelle, caught a small bus to the port of Positano and then took the ferry back to Amalfi. For scenery, this route is highly recommended!
