Austria's capital city, Vienna, is one hour from Bratislava by train. Walked the Old City and explored the historical sites from the Austrian Empire. Sites included Karlsplatz, Heroes Square, Hofburg Imperial Palace, Imperial Treasury, National Library, Spanish Riding School, Saint Stephens Church, and the Opera. Returned to Bratislava by a swift 90 minute catamaran cruise on the Danube River.
